1. Are you stopped up or running?
Or both at the same time?

BOTH..Can't breathe but it won't stop when I start blowing my nose, low grade fever....This happens twice/year. I never get a cold or the flu, just sinus infections

3. Been there, done that
Get some antihistimes, and keep hydrated. Sleep all you can. I can successfully blow my nose without ever being awake.

4. It happens every year (twice) when the
seasons change. We are going from 82 to 32 tomorrow....Welcome to Denver. Not happy, wait 3 hours. We can have 4 seasons in one day.

5. Hi serryjw--
I boil water and breathe in the steam--it's great for opening you up.

I also use warm to hot compresses on my cheeks, forehead and face, to ease the congested feelings.

I hope some of this is helpful! Get rest and drink LOTS of fluids too.

6. Holy shit!
We dropped about 20 degrees overnight, but it still got up the 80s today (beats 115 heat index).

I can predict the rain with my sinuses. The barometer change gets me. I was getting over a head cold that moved into my chest (but just a little, I knocked it out) when the weather changed. I sound like a frog and keep blowing my nose, but I don't feel bad at all.

8. I swear by those....
....Vicks Vapor Inhaler tube things. Pocket size like lip balm, I carry one all year 'round. Five bucks. Take a few sniffs, and everything seems to open up. I used to have a lot of trouble with sinus and eustachian. No more!

10. Steam and/or some salt water up the schnozola
If you can stand garlic or salsa, that might thin the gunk out and help get rid of some of it until Doctor's hours ;)

Oh, eat the garlic/salsa. It doesn't feel good up your nose. x(
