I am out of S. Florida finally |
|
I am in St. Pete temporarily before moving on and continuing driving. It is pretty here. Drove across a large bridge.

Tampa also has a long bridge(11 miles), so get gas if you need to now.

I figured you were heading north. The Skyway is only 4 miles approximately.
Edit: Yes it is high and the construction doesn't make it any easier.

But one year they did have a 54 car pileup because of the fog. Now they will shut that thing down the first sign of trouble.

23. Uh, not an urban legend. I grew up in Largo and can remember |
|
A VW being blown off and reported in St. Pete Times -- 30 years ago, maybe?
Also, some time back a barge hit one of the supports, collapsed part of the bridge at night, and a number of cars drove straight off the broken edge. I seem to remember a dozen or so people drowning in that incident. I had nightmares about that little scenario, let me tell you.

obviously the DU Darling. If you are ever absent for a day or two, some threads will appear asking "where's Carlos"?
Good luck on your adventures! Christina

It is impossible to get a feel for the size (some much smaller and some much larger) of his works from looking at them in books- eventhough the dimensions are listed. The thickness of paint and use of multi-media are also quite a revelation to see up close. While many of his most popular works are not there, the range of art on display is still fabulous.

18. And the paintings are Huge! |

My favorite is the Matador. Since you lose much of the detail when you shrink it down to book size, or even poster size, and the color hues aren't absolutely accurate, you probably won't get it. You might not get it anyway unless you are Experienced, and I don't mean in art appreciation.
