There's a field mouse in my house |
|
and the cats are sitting around the love seat, waiting for it to decide to come out. Well, they were, now they are playing. But, I'm sure, when the little guy comes out, he's in for it. It is time to get something to protect it. I'd rather not have it die, but knowing my kittens, they'll get him. Help!

1. Drop a bucket over top, lift the bucket up slowly and run card board |
|
underneath it....
Pick up the buckett and the cardboard together and take it out side....
ALthough, you know, if you get him before they do, you will be in vilotaion of the International Kitty Kat Olympics special rule no. 1497(c).....

Catches them alive then you can let it go outside (far from your house or it will come right back in). Bait it with peanut butter - they can't resist peanut butter.
I have colonies living in my house during the winter - I hear them gnawing on the wood in the walls at night. I've gotten 5 or 6 at a time in a trap.

Wait, that all depends on what rhymes with "spouse" and I can think of a few unsavory responses...

5. They actually got one before and didn't eat it. |

No bite marks, claw marks or anything. I think myh little guys (14 weeks old) got him. Icarus and Daedalus are two of the sweetest cats. Loki (1 year old) would probably run away. And, Bastet (6 years) just would watch and laugh from afar.
By the way, once again, I would like to thank Bertha Katzenengel for telling me to go ahead and take Icarus in. He's pain, but as sweet as can be. So, if anyone sees her, tell her to read this for me. :)

6. We had Bast, years ago. |

She was black, she and her litter mate used to double team dogs. Once they attacked a medium sized dog that wandered into our yard and were none the worse for it. Another time a friend came to return a mother cat we had taken in, and he had tried to adopt, that didn't get along with his small poodle. He brought the poodle in, as well. Big mistake. One of my cats came in from down room and the other appeared behind the dog. There was a huge fur fight, and the poor dog lost. He had quite a few puncture wounds. I loved those cats. Now we are down to one black cat and a very big dog. The cat is dominant. ;)

There was a field mouse running around at my job today. I work in a concession stand at a drag strip raceway. Talk about health and sanitary violations!

8. My little Layla Babycat had a shrew the other night...she wouldn't give it |

up for anything, little bratty girl. I usually try to get them away from her once she catches them (I wear leather gloves for these attempts) and then I let them outside, but no such luck with this last one. I am not sure what she did with it.
