1. Survivor is SO fake. They have this chick who's a sports radio |
|
"personality" in the Kansas City area who used to be some beauty queen, I think she's in her 20's.
They engineered some scenario so she could "figure out" that he was a pro football player, since he was going by some different name on the show. And have some kind of confrontation.
Now I'm a lot older than that gal, and I followed the Cowboys when Hogeboom was playing, being a Cowboy Hata and Skins fan. And though I know his name really well, there's no WAY I would possibly be able to identify his face. I'm sure a great many COWBOY fans from that era probably couldn't either, since he was a backup. Hell I couldn't even pick Danny White out of a lineup and he was the Boyz starter for quite some time.

2. Agree. And she id'ed him immediately. |

Not like a he looks familiar, mull it over, figure it out sorta thing. I am beginning to think the whole show is staged. Actually, I've been thinking that the last few seasons.

3. I don't think it has to be a fake. She's in sports radio which means, |

she probably grew up in a sports family. Even if she was a little kid when he played, she might still be able to recognize him. Besides, she claims to know who he is because of his college football days.
On edit: "chick?" I was going to leave that part out, but when I re-read your post and saw that you referred to her as "chick," I now have to ask if you would be so quick to cry "fraud" if she were a he.

4. I've listened to her show. |
|
I personally don't care for her on Survivor or on her radio show but she does know her stuff. I've heard her talk about seeing former college players on the street thirty years after anyone would recognize them and she knew who they were. She talks about memorizing stat books and such all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if they passed along a hint and she picked it up from there(if you watch some of the behind the scenes shows former contestants will tell you that sometimes info will"slip"). But she didn't say that she recognized him until four or five days into the game.

Dude just wasn't that prominent a player.
Even the idiot Dallas sports radio dudes here were pointing that out on their afternoon drive show.
