1. I kinda like the stroganoff one.
I add extra sour cream and mushrooms if I have them around. And I throw some veggies in any flavor that I make for an easy meal that my daughter will eat.

7. I add some peas to this one as well, and some additional seasoning
makes a good dish when I am in too much of a hurry to make real Asian food.
I also really like the cheesy hashbrown one.

5. The thing I don't like is:
50 cents of pasta, and some cheap seasoning that any half-assed cook could come up with on their own sells for over $2.

I also don't like getting burger-belly if I eat too much of it. Much better to use ground Boca. And Boca doesn't turn your sweat rancid like beef often does.

6. Yes. You. Are.
hahah.
Actually, my mom used to make that stuff all the time.

It definitely serves its purpose for cheap, quick and easy foodage.

Do you remember Kraft Macaroni and Cheese? Sadly, I knew how to make that by heart before I was 10.

:)

10. I don't think it's actually 'food' per se.. since it's all chemicals and
powders and flavorings and partially hydrogenated this and dehydrated that... nothing but chemicals, preservatives and... caloric fatty crap.

Ever seen what partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil does in your body?
Nothing.

It coagulates in solid white lumps and stays in your body. Making you fat.

Think twinkies.

16. I have a thing about fake food... supermarket crap is just nasty...
I prefer to actually eat things I can identify.

I tend to stick with whole foods... but I'm not a vegan. Typically, if there is a supermarket coupon for it, it's made of chemicals, powders, dried this, artificially flavored thats, etc. I won't eat it.

I stick with grains, pastas, fruits, veggies, simple yogurts, butter, real dairy and fresh meat.

I have seen what globules of partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil look like and it's not pretty.

The rest of that crap causes cancer.

aggregates of chemicals?

Happy healthy eating to you!

8. I had a boyfriend once who used to brag about his cooking...
When he finally cooked for me, it was a hamburger helper base in which he added some veggies!

So, you are not alone in your like of hamburger helper--and further cooking it makes you an excellent chef!

Yeah, but I don't use hamburger
I take stew meat or random beef and cut into small chunks and substitute for burger. Flavor is better. I tend to stick to the stroganoff one.

12. I hate it... sitting there laughing at me on the supermarket shelf -
making my life miserable.... mocking me incessantly - simply because I couldn't afford the hamburger with which to provide it with a suitable mate.

30. I've scheduled an intervention.
You are suffering from the hypnotic effect of the dancing white glove's chant:

"Hamburger helper helps your hamburger
Make a great meal."

There. I hope someone else is stuck with this earworm now too.:P
