5. The eyes are beautiful, but it's the expression on the child's |
|
face I find so arresting. I've got a surly 8 year old behind me and this picture is making me very wistful.

At least that's what one of friends always says. But then she tires of changing diapers. LOL!

21. *sigh* Yes, I've been changing diapers steadily since 1997. |
|
We're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel though. The "baby" is showing signs of potty training earlier than his brothers did. Please, please, let it be so.

26. You poor thing! I was just having the potty training discussion |
|
last week with some friends. I'm hoping for you that he does!
It was interesting to hear (from the standpoint of not having kids) that, the first one is always the hardest--or at least that was their stance. They said their subsequent kids didn't take nearly as long as the first to get on the potty.
I found with my cousins, girls train easier than boys.
Weird, isn't it?

32. Girls definitely train easier than boys. |
|
Every one of my friends with girls beat my boys by at least 12 months. My second potty trained at exactly the same age (down to the month) as the first one. BUT, it was right around the time I had number three so that could have delayed things a bit. Number three is the one I'm counting on to beat the first two by a wide margin. I'm thinking this would be a nice Christmas present.

keep me posted...seriously.
My little cousin (who's now in her 20's--I feel old), she was so fast. Her older brother used to just cry and carry on like we were trying to kill him.
All we did with the girl, was show her the Strawberry Shortcake panties she could wear. She went home that day and sat on the pot!!! Can you believe it? Her brother then was shamed into it, as she was younger and all... LOL!

Thank you for sharing!
The baby is so cute, and I love the soft lighting and overall pink glow. Very nice work on the photographer's part.
I recently read of a photographer that took many pictures in various settings of breastfeeding babes and moms. She wanted to change the way people view breastfeeding, by photographing women doing so in what could be considered unusual lights--even uncomfortable. For example, she photographed a young, thin, fit woman wearing a bikini, breastfeeding her babe on the beach.
Found that interesting...sorry to blab on and on...

Lovely pic. Never have understood how some folks can get so uptight about women doing what God designed them to do.
