Do you know any adults who think professional wrestling is real? |
|
I think it's funny and entertaining as hell, but watching some of the fans on TV (WWE RAW is on right now), I have to say that some of them seem to take it all a bit too seriously.

1. I don't even know why they call WWE "professional". |
|
If you ask me, the amateurs are the real professionals (if that makes sense).
Other than that, isn't Stephanie McMahon hot? :D

4. I don't even know any kids who think that anymore. |
|
Although, I thought it was "real" until I was about 6 or 7 years old. That was way back when they made the attempt to guard the Big Secret, however.

5. The question I have is |
|
has ANY WWF match in the past twenty years ACTUALLY FINISHED??????? I mean without being interrupted by some chair-wielding maniac prancing down the aisle to jump in the ring and start beating someone over the head...

It usually involved Kurt Angle or Chris Benoit and was a beacon of hope for the wrestling fan.

12. I'd say they almost all know. |

Live wrestling matches are a strange mix of theater in the round and audience participation. It's like Rocky Horror on steroids.

still have an emotional involvement as if it is. Same thing with any good work of fiction. I don't watch wrestling, but I can see how people get caught up in the stories. That being said, there are probably a few people who do think its real. I remember one such lady - a mother of another kid when I was in little league - who really believed it was all real. (This was in the 60s with Freddie Blassie, etc.)

Those people are talented, I guess, they take falls and hits for "real." How they aren't breaking their bones when they are throwing each other around, I don't know.

I don't think that it's real, but I do think that they go off script from time to time.
Not a whole lot though
