What's happening in West Wing

I've missed a LOT of episodes 'cause it got really boring.

I watched it the other night and Alan Alda is running (badly) for President against some Latino dude (who ain't doing such a good job himself). Martin Sheen is nowhere to be seen (except in the credits).

That should help you catch up.

That Latino dude is Matt Santos and IMHO he is a great candidate.

There is also a "white house leak" storyline that is very interesting and will be addressed on next week's show.

3. I think The West Wing had picked up considerably

since the campaign started midway through last season. Santos is a dream candidate and Vinick is a Republican I can atleast consider respecting. I hope Santos wins but don't expect the show back next season.

6. They're pulling a lot of stuff out of the last election

Santos made a "I voted for it before I voted against it" comment; the Dem candidate has more service experience than the Republican. What I want to know is where Donna went - the actress isn't in the credits anymore.
