Just watched my first "Commander in Chief" and have questions... |
|
- The First Gentleman, was he a congressman or something?
- What was the Chief of Staff before becoming Chief of Staff
- Is Donald Sutherland a Dem? He's a dick, I know that much
- The White House press corps member with red hair...where do I know this guy from?
- Did I see Scott Wolf? Looked like him, but IMDb doesn't list him.
Thanks

1. No, he served as Chief of Staff under then-VP Allen. 2. He was the Chief of Staff for the President who died. He was asked to stay on as COS. 3. No, he's a Republican. He is House speaker. He would have had the Presidency if Allen had resigned, which is what they tried to do in Ep. 1. 4. Don't know 5. I don't recall seeing him.

2. Mind if I ask a couple of follow-ups? |
|
2. In the preview for next week, Sutherland was saying "step down, you want her gone as much as the rest of us." Was he talking to her COS? Is what he said true?
3. So the President was a puke? I think I heard Allen is an Indy?
Thanks. I really like the show, so far. Just need to get up to speed.

2. Yeah. He's trying hard to discredit her and create problems. I know the COS was loyal to the President, but he's hasn't shown any sort of double-crossing. I would hope his loyalties are with the President and not the party. We'll find out next week :)
3. Yes, the President was a Republican. Allen was an Independent. There was a flashback scene in the first episode from when the President asked Allen to be his VP. She was there for the women votes. Hence why they were asking her to step down upon the Presidents death.

8. Sutherland's no Dem. Rather his character isn't. |
|
He plays the Republican Speaker of the House.
