Porcupine Tree at the Park West. |
|
any porcupine tree fans in the house? steve wilson and crew put on a great show- they're filming the chicago show(now showS- with a second show added wednesday) for their upcoming DVD. Robert Fripp opened the Tuesday nite show- i've been a fan of his for a long while, and it was nice to see him play with himself...and his frippertronics.
steve wilson came out and said that a wednesday show was added, and because of the filming, it would be a TOTALLY different set than tuesday's- so i made for the box office, and now we're going back for more p.tree tomorrow...er...tonite.

1. I like a few of their songs. |
|
I haven't looked into their music in depth, but what I heard I liked. There aren't too many progressive type bands anymore.

2. I was a big fan of Barbieri's when he was in Japan. |

Was he onstage? I'll assume he was.

Saw them here in Mpls Memorial day weekend. No Fripp, though. A friend of mine opened with his one man synthesizer show. I like the earlier, trippier stuff, but they are still a very interesting group and Steven Wilson is a great guitarist. enjoy!!
