31. The way he talked about his cat
He was shopping at the store I work in and asked me if he could take an empty box to put his cat food in. I made some sort of stupid comment - "Oh, you have a cat?" and he got this big, goofy grin on his face and began telling me all about his cat and how he'd had him since he was a baby and how much he loved him.

I figured if a guy could be so open and honest about his feelings for his cat, he had to be a pretty neat person. And he is.

Please?

Even if I don't end up agreeing that it's the best, it'll be pretty good, and a pretty good chili dog beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick any old day, so I'll be happy to have tried it.

53. my wife looks attractive?
I never noticed... :eyes:

But, in all honesty, personality is the most important thing to me. I'm generally fairly quiet & laid back, so I tend to be attracted to intelligent, outgoing & energetic women. My wife & ex-wife are both intelligent (well, except in choice of spouse!), outgoing & energetic. But, my wife now is Chinese, slim, 5'4", high cheekbones, with black hair & eyes. My ex-wife was 5'0" on a good day, but probably outweighed my wife by 10-15 pounds (with a lot of that in her chest), round faced, had big blue eyes, auburn hair & fair skin.

68. I saw little snippets of her personality over a year ago.
She would post things here and on another site, and I would read them and think, "I need to find a woman exactly like that." I could tell that we both needed the same things out of life and out of a partner, and that we had both been continually disappointed in our search for those things. I was not going to go after her, though, because I was determined not to do the online thing (plus I had this idea that she only liked tall men).

Then after a year of looking for someone in "real life", I posted some nonsense on DU, she responded right away, and I finally decided to take a chance. It was the best thing I have ever done, my only regret being that I didn't act sooner.

I had seen pictures of her, and thought she looked attractive, but I know that pictures can lie, so that wasn't even a consideration. As it turned out, she's much, much better looking in person anyway.

Now I am completely, hopelessly in love. :loveya:

I'll never forget the day she showed up at my dorm room door with a few LPs: Los Angeles "X," "Live at the Deaf Club," The Cramps "Psychedlic Jungle," and a couple other great albums what I fergit. Oh, Suburban Lawns. Said her mom wouldn't let her play 'em loud. So we played 'em loud.

82. His bald spot
He's a big weightlifter with a deep voice, and the bald spot made him look so vulnerable.

84. Personality
Considering I met him on an online game. ;)

My character wandered into a nasty area and got killed, lost all her stuff...he helped me get my stuff back and we started chatting. That was almost seven years ago and we've been together ever since. :)

85. Personality.
I remember on one particularly bad day about a year and a half ago, writing something on here and after his response, all I could think was, "Why can't I ever meet a man like that? Why can't I ever have a man like that love me?" A few months later, we opened up to each other about some things, but there was no relationship, no intent of a relationship. Once things actually clicked last Spring, especially after we finally went out, there was no holding back. We both have this strange feeling that everything we went through lead us to one another. For all our quirky weirdness (and our simultaneous, boring normalness) to have found someone so well-suited for each of us feels rather miraculous. It's never happened to either of us before.

As for looks, it didn't play a big part at all in the initial attraction, but I can't help but say that our mutual chemistry doesn't hurt either. He's a very nice looking man (and only slightly taller is more than fine). His is the entire package. :)
