Could someone please define the German term "uber?" |
|
Thank you. I am seeing it all the time and feel really dumb, however, I "know" my schadenfreude!
Schadenfeude - getting pleasure from other people's suffering.
(like the indictments from Plamegate, for instance...LOL).

4. I always thought it meant "super" or "superior to" |
|
As in Übermensch; superhuman.

Super is Latin for "above", "on", "over" - just like "Über" in German.
"Über" has many uses, but only the uses as preposition or as part of an verb or adverb are really common - the whole "über-something has" a slang quality to it.

6. And What Does "Sieg Heil" Mean? ... Victory Welfare? |
|
Does it lose something in the translation? Is there an English equivalent?

8. I'm pretty sure it means "all hail". |
|
As in:
All hail mein fuhrer Bush!

It's like a combination of "All Hail to .." and "On wards to victory". :scared:
