Anyone here had it? What was your experience with it? Cost, results, etc?

follow up sometime in December, she said it hurt but the results were very good. I think the total cost for the whole thing was around $1700. but in her case it was money well spent.

2. I didn't like it...
for the cost, and the results weren't permanent. The pain wasn't bad.

I'm pursuing electrolysis now. Unfortunatly electrolysis gets a bad rap, because most just listen to rumour and don't bother to research themselves. It's not as painful as it used to be (when you find a good tech with the most current equipment). The only FDA approved for PERMANENT hair loss.

Laser can offer permanent hair reduction--which may be all your looking for. If you don't mind the expense and that it isn't permanent it may be a great option for you!

For me, with the expense involved, I'd rather know that it isn't coming back. LOL!

Let us know what you decide, and hope this is helpful! :hi:

I'm definitely looking for permanent. Years ago I had a very small little patch under my chin. My hairdresser at the time had me over the bowl shampooing and noticed it. She said, "Oh, let me get that for you!" Well, she waxed me from ear to ear. Now I have recurring hair everywhere in that area and sometimes they get ingrown, Ow!! I'm of Mediterranean ancestry so it isn't light and it isn't fine. I always pack a pair of tweezers.

Don't ever let a hairdresser get near your face with wax! x(

The cost seems prohibitive for me at the moment, tho. Drats!

5. waxing should only be performed by an esthetician
that is, someone who waxes and only waxes, for a living. The woman i go to is amazing! Fab-u-lous! :D

6. Depending on your city, state
there may be a school near you, where you can have work done less expensively.

Otherwise, check out this website--they have listings and people that can state if they have experience with certain people. The overall feedback is doing your research to find the person best for you.

I know your pain. I am a woman of color, and my hair tends to curl, too--the ingrowns are SOOOO painful! I hate when I have to dig them out. YOWCH!
