I was discussing with my sister the fact that she has figured out that her manager has made ass-kissing a requirement of advancement, and what to do. Since the topic is much in the news these days over the Harriet Miers nomination, I thought I would poll DU and see if there is a general Democratic trend on the vital topic of asskissing:

How much ass are you willing to kiss, and under what circumstances?

1. I don't kiss ass. If I respect a person, I will complement them

and support them and stuff like that - but I don't think that is ass-kissing. That is when you do it just to do it.

If I don't respect you, just stay the hell out of my way.
