the local community hospital looks just like the hospital in halloween II

i'm in a small town & the only hospital we have is a dilapidated mess that sits atop a giant hill overlooking the township...

i went last night cause my ear was in pain & i didn't feel like waiting 8 days for a doctor's appointment... not actually an *emergency* other than my lack of patience...

anyway, i swear to god i thought michael myers was going to come walking down the hall with a scapel... they kept turning off lights in the hallway...

there was a horribly depressing waiting room with no television & nothing to read but religious tracts & southern new mexico sexual assault guides...

the staff and the doctor were mooing to each other - yes mooing like cows :wtf:

i was just waiting for donald pleasance to make his entrance... "the blackest eyes, the devil's eyes... he came home"

BTW, if you get an earache in the middle of the night and don't want to go to the ER, if you turn your hairdryer on your ear for a bit, not on the hottest setting, but medium, it will stretch your eardrum a bit and relieve the pain.

Sounds bizarre, but with three kids, there was always someone with an earache at 3AM. It really does work.
