2. It always bothered me that the producers admitted that they write
it as they go along. (from a NYT article.)This implies that they are for the most part winging it -- that they have no thought out/ crafted /master plan. I watch the show but feel that the show will run out of steam.

3. they've spent so much good effort on character development
and I hate to see it all wasted on a ridiculous plot

4. I guess the fact that the show teeters between being great and sucking
is a built in factor of attraction. It's funny how audiences root for a show and how their is a sort of agreement or contract between a viewer and a show. I'm pretty sure the guys that made this show made 24 (or Alias) and they have a good sense of how things are supposed to play out. I've been trying to watch Invasion but it kind of just sits there.

7. Same guys as "Alias."
And I'm giving Alias another two weeks and that's it. Definitely seems to have crumpled into crap big time.

I watch very little television. Very little. I'm disappointed Alias has become barely watchable.

5. It's a sci-fi "Gilligan's Island", that was my original thought...
but SURVIVOR is definitely in there more.

6. I'm hooked on Lost but never watched Survivor, so I don't know.
I watched the first season after it came out on DVD and raced through it to start season 2. I was entranced with the mythology of the island in season 1 but season 2 is dragging for me. I'm very nervous they may have jumped the shark extremely early.
