37. It was a joke.
I was parodying the Baby Boomers who act superior to anyone too young to have been at Woodstock, like that was the apotheosis of human civilization. Really. A joke. Scout's honor. Pearl Jam were a joke, too, by the way.

The State! I loved that show. It came out right as SNL was going downhill, and I thought, hmmm, SNL will probably try to snag more than a few of these guys, they're hilarious.

Then it lasted like 2 seasons and got canceled! :wtf:

50. A couple years ago...
...I looked for it, but never found anything. BUT, I did find a VHS of "Best of The State" and ordered it immediately. I got to watch it a couple of times, and then I took it to a friend's house, and it turned up missing shortly thereafter. x(

The tape was pretty good, but I remember thinking, "Damn, there were some classic skits they definitely left out." But still, it was cool to see it again.

38. I was a teenager from '93-'99.
I liked a lot of shit music-wise: Tool, Rage, Pearl Jam, RHCP, Bob Marley, Beatles, Hendrix, Zeppelin, STP, 311, Incubus, Radiohead, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Black Crowes, etc., etc.

Oh, and I do, and always have, think Nirvana sucks fucking ass. Overrated hacks (except for Grohl, he's got talent). :puke:

TV Shows: Simpsons and Seinfeld were my favorites, then later Daily Show (w/ Criag Kilborn) and South Park.

Amusement park mascot: :wtf:

Wow, this thread takes me back. I remember Smashing Pumkins were huge and we all felt cool listening to them. I was also a big Garbage fan...."I'm only happy when it rains." Beck was big and so was Moby (although later). The song they played during my high school graduation slide show was by Fat Boy Slim, to this day I can't hear that song without being transported.

Well watched all Kevin Smith movies and felt cool because they were "independent" films. Boy, that's no longer the case with KS now! I saw Titanic in the theater 3 times. :) ( I know you were looking for TV shows but I just had to bring these up)

We had no amusement parks in Anchorage, Alaska so I don't know what to pick for that one.

Edit: I left a few words out

45. I turned 13 in 1992
My musical tastes back then were awful, I mean seriously shit with the one exception of The Pet Shop Boys. This only picked up when someone turned me onto Nirvana about a year after Kurt's suicide. My favorite album was probably Rage against the Machine with "Killing in the Name" on repeat. In fact until I got a part-time job around 1996 it was one of the only album's I owned. The first band I saw live were Ocean Colour Scene (who were good, once).

My favorite TV show was probably Red Dwarf then later Homicide: Life on the Street.

Pearl Jam (was U2 when I was really young), David the Gnome, and I was overexposed to amusement parks as a kid living so close to Orlando and never really liked any of them.

Thanks to David the Gnome, I still obsess over gnomes to this day, though.
