I lost my job a month ago, still have a mortgage, no retirement to speak of, a daughter in college, trying to start over as a freelancer. Other than that, it isn't bothering me. Forty didn't bug me, either. I guess I just don't feel that old, except after doing yardwork.

Well I've been fortunate with my job and retirement. But now that arnies gunning after stateworkers (which I am one) I don't feel as secure. I had planned on retiring in five years and now I'm not so sure. Having my health and family is blessing, I'm just so tired of work, not working, just the work.

I hope things pick up for you.
