There was an incident in my past for which I could have been arrested (or shot!), but the sheriff took mercy on us idiotic kids.

8. Only once.... In Fort Lauderdale.....

I had my brothers liscense so I could drink when I went down for spring break in 1975...

I was arrested, printed and mug shot and so my pic and fingerprints photo are in the system under his name and social security number...

9. My Dad was a cop

and a well-known one. Having a fairly rare last name kept me out of trouble until I was old enough to figure it out for myself.

ie:
Cop: Let's see some ID,you're in real trouble here.

little me: ID proffered.

Cop: achtung, eh, any relation to Wally?

little me: Ohh, well, he's just my Dad.

Cop: Well, tell him Constable John Smith says hi.

I'm a good boy now.
