2. And is the source of 99.999999% of the total boredom
in business people worldwide.

I won't allow it to be present on any computer owned by my company.

5. I've seen it done well.
But in a good PowerPoint, 95% of the content is in the notes and the talk itself.

However, 9 out of 10 presentations using PowerPoint involve the presenter simply reading the bullet points off the slide. :eyes:

12. You're right. The technology is meaningless. All that counts
is the ability of the presenter as a public speaker.

People either have public-speaking ability or they don't. It doesn't matter if you have PowerPoint, old-fashioned overheads, or just a large piece of paper to scribble on.

Oh, and you also have to be talking about something that the audience is interested in. That helps a lot.

3. What about Excel?
There would be nothing to put in those lousy presentations without some data from an excel spreadsheet filled with macros that no longer work.

6. Not to mention the pie charts and bar graphs
that mean absolutely nothing, while also managing to look extraordinarily stupid and graphically offensive.

A pox on both of those applications!

7. Pie charts and bar graphs, oh my!
Actually I'm taking back PowerPoint. I think I'm voting for MS Project instead. Gantt charts TERRIFY me. :scared:

13. Maybe it hasn't taken life on a grand scale yet, but:
the crazy dieting fads have got to go. Especially "no carb" diets. AAAHHH! Look at the way people are being coerced into thinness in that fashion! They're being asked to let their bodies cannibalize themselves. EWWW.
