11. Blue pill. Yes, kids, it's been THAT kind of week.

The kind of week when I find myself questioning whether this has all been worth it. Survey says? I don't know. I think I wish I'd stayed on my own life path, headed for graduate school, taking out massive loans to do so, with my asshole, misogynist boyfriend in tow. I wish I'd never made a promise to God, Fate, the Universe, whatever you believe in, "wherever I am in my life in 2004, I'm going to drop everything, and go campaign for Al Gore (or his Democratic equivalent)." I didn't even MEAN it at the time. I promised it in my head. I had no idea that the gods apparently take notes. I was a DUMB KID. And now, here I am. Yeah, sure, I'm proud to have supported the right people in our government, who have lived up to my expectations; I'm even proud to have given them my money and some of my health and two years I'll never get back, but--the agony I am in over the situation we as The Aware face? I don't know that it's been worth it. Not because we "lost." Because I feel just this crappy about it.
