according to Yahoo movies it's number 12 at 22 mil.

I have no worries about there being sequals - it should easily make a bundle off dvd sales. Just like the series did when released, which led to studio notice in the first place.

I don't know about Europe, but they're probably huge there too. Apparently the guy who played Spike on Buffy, James Marsters, has been selling out concerts for like two years now.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least that they love Serenity as well. Joss is a Genius.
Oh, and remember someone saying that there was going to be a movie remake of Wonder Woman? Joss is going to write and direct. I'm excited!
