I'm pathetic.
This weekend, I'm devoting myself to watching sappy movies. I've been involved with civics, family, friends and work for the past 3 months, so now, I have the unique chance to be lazy.

I just saw "Here on Earth". I cried my silly eyes out. Who's the girl in that movie? My God, I think I'm gay for her. I have a boyfriend I'm serious about, but if she ever crossed paths with me, I'd give her a kiss she'd never forget.

Now I'm watching "Waiting to Exhale".

How are you, my lovely Loungers? Say "hello" if you want!

:hi: :loveya:

9. YES! Thank you!
She is wonderful! I love her, God, I love her! She has such a good range of emotions, such a great variety of expression. I first saw her in "Ya Ya Sisterhood", then again in "Eyes Wide Shut", which I thought sucked, but was made better by her appearance. This last movie, "Here on Earth"? She made me cry.

53. Leelee Sobieski's star has kinda fizzled
I think she had a run there because of how much she looks like Helen Hunt

Actually, I think both of them have pretty much dropped out of the top tier movies and are mostly regulated to crappy low-budget tear-jerkers

Or if you are, you are in good company. If you think I'm good company. Because I just folded a mountain of laundry and watched both of the movies you watched!

Why don't you come on over and we can be sappy together?

:loveya:

On edit:
What you said about LeeLee Sobeleski? I feel the same way. Um. If you do come over, I'm afraid you are going to have to sign a confidentialty agreement. I mean, all we'll do is watch goofy movies and eat popcorn. Still...

Being pathetic together is so much fun...I can't believe we saw the same exact movies! I can pull out the extra comforter, we can have deviled eggs & red wine, and I have a peronal assistant who will be glad to do our nails FREE in glitter blue!

The comforter, the deviled eggs (OMG - you have NO idea how much I love those silly things!), the wine (red gives me a headache, but for you...), AND someone who will paint our toenails glitter blue?

That sounds like a perfect afternoon. Especially for two people who have worked their proverbial asses off to fight the good fight for their communities. I need a little silly girl time to recharge the batteries, you know?

I'm sure that's not what it's called, but it's the soup my canadian relatives make when we go for a visit. It's really chicken broth with diced tomatoes, onions and rice.

It's good for what ails ya, especially when what ails ya is a head cold.

But otherwise, they are doing just fine. :hi:

And I can sympathize completely, my friend. Lead-footedness runs deep in my family! I have a dozen speeding tickets to my name, and I'm not yet 40. In fact, I lost my license for a month last year because I got too many tickets in a 12-month period.

Worse yet, my very own mother got a speeding ticket this past weekend-- 68 in a 55 on a two-lane blacktop country road. I guess I learned from the best?
