Angel's Gate Animal Hospice |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 08:27 PM by snappymcbitch
I haven't posted in a long time but I wanted to make the animal lovers on DU aware of a really deserving cause I have recently found. Last year we moved to Long Island and I discovered a wonderful animal hospice called Angel's Gate. It is located in Ft. Salonga in Suffolk county. Susan Marino and Victor LaBruna have opened their home and hearts to animals that otherwise would have been put into kill shelters. They nurse the ones they can back to their healthiest state and the ones that are not so healthy are allowed to live out the remainder of their lives in dignity. They do not have cages, these animals have free roam of their ranch home and yard. Susan recently went down to the Katrina zone and has brought back about 20 more animals. They had at least 200 dogs, cats, birds and ducks already but somehow find room for more. Please visit their website at www.angelsgate.org and donate if you can. They are really great people who exist on donations only for the animal care and could really use the help now. Thanks for listening......

No I haven't. This is one of my first posts. Can I transfer it? Oh, I just tried to post in the pet section and because I haven't donated, I cannot post there. Well, I see other pet posts here, so I hope someone will read it.
