My favorite, of course, was either Reese's peanut butter cups or Snickers.

Most hated: anything with licorice (Necco Wafers, Good & Plenty, etc.)

Mary Janes and Squirrel Nuts. - Used to love them when I was a kid, but these days I go for the real deal. chocolate !!!

Specifically Snickers and Reeses cups.

My favorites though are gone now...remember Mars bars? - Just like a snickers but with almonds (mmmmm).

...and my absolute favorite that you can't get anymore are Mystic Mints. (Oreo cookies with a mint cream and covered in chocolate). - damn, those things were incredible.

My g-ma always had an abundant supply of inedible candy for us kids. I think she really didn't want us to have any at all because it all sucked. (Sorry g-ma if you're looking down here reading this.) She would have those black and orange things all year round!

Probably because the old people that passed them out saved a gross box of them since the late 50s and just got rid of them gradually every year.

My second grade teacher lived with her mother and other old maid sister in a big wooden Victorian with a creeky front porch right by the railroad tracks. She had a big nose and jet black hair and so did her sister. She always told us, you HAVE to come to our house on Halloween. So we did. She and the sister were all dressed up in big witch hats and with fake moles and stuff on their faces, with a cauldron on the porch, and Mama was in black mourning clothes, sitting in her rocking chair, staring into space, never moving a hair..just looking sorta zombified. Hugely creepy. The house was a trip in itself.

... there was this candy called "Banana Bike". One Halloween night, I was, in typical "eat the crap first and save the best for last" fashion scarfing the boatload of BBs I had collected.

They made me sick, and I puked them up (one of about 3 times I've puked in my fifty years on earth, and the only one not related to alcohol :))

So easily, they are my most hated Halloween candy.
