2. Stuff, TV Guide, Maxim
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 02:34 PM by Loonman
The new TV Guide format friggin' blows. If I wanted an entertainment magazine, I'd buy one, where are my local listings!!!

Maxim now sucks as much as Details used to.

24. Maxim would be good if not for the RW slant
It seems they like to get writers who are "real men" who are neither real, nor men - to tell us how bad Bill Clinton was.

Personally, I think Clinton would have been the perfect posterboy for Maxim. He worked hard, played hard, partied hard. Would spend months without sleep ensuring peace between Sinn Fein and the UK, then afterwards reward himself with a blowjob in the Oval Office. Now that's MY kind of boss!

8. Christmas gifts from Mom and Dad
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 02:44 PM by Debi
Cosmo -(Don't really care for it - but people who work in our house love to read it and they're usually 20-25 years old)

Vanity Fair - LOVE IT!

Health - Think Mom is trying to give me a hint?

Gift to my husband:

Smithsonian

Newspaper - Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier

(on Sundays we buy the Des Moines Register so I can double up on coupons)

We usually buy Harper's at the book store on one of our family outings.

My Christmas wish:

The New Yorker

10. Don't you think Vanity Fair is schizophrenic?
They out Deep Throat in the issue with Jennifer Anniston on the cover!!!

They have great in depth political articles and Paris Hilton, too.

I love it too!

17. You mean there's articles amongst the 7,000 perfume samples
and clothing ads?

It's perfect for our house since my husband is soooo politically interested and I'm a gossip hound. We read all the articles and then have great discussions.
