Things other people do that defy belief and gross you out... |
|
... I shared a house with 5 other mates at Uni, and one of them had this habit of clipping his toenails whilst we watched TV. Not gross or defying belief per se of a group of 20 year old blokes sharing a roach infested, mould-clad student flat.
But the thing that defied belief was that we would studiously sweep up all his clipping and keep them ALL in a little pewter box - he had ferkin MILLIONS of the damn things - I have NO bloody idea why.
Evenin' all by the way - and I apologise to anyone eating a microwave pizza at the keys.

I stayed home from a few college classes recently when I got sick. Luckily is was on the weekend so I had time to get better. It was the first time in years I had gotten sick. I wouldn't have gotten sick if all these sick disgusting germ carrying repubs I seem to live amidst down here in the south would quit spitting their nasty tobacco all over the school, drooling all over each other in school, and getting too damn close to me in school.

... there was a study conducted by an English Local Council Environmental Health Department, that took a bowl of salted peanuts from the bar of a pub and found traces of over 13 different urine samples on them.

11. ugh. college roommates. |
|
i had one who kept the family sized tub of peanut butter under his bed. whenever he was hungry he would sit on his bed watching tv and eat it out of the jar with his finger. sometimes he would do this for an hour. he'd have peanut butter all over his hands and the jar. then he'd lick his fingers clean and put the jar back under the bed. i offered him a spoon from the cafeteria once and he said he didn't need it.
another night his girlfriend was hanging out in our room waiting for him (he was at the other dorm getting laid). she got hungry and had no money so she started looking through his stuff and found a big bottle of fruit flavored tums or rolaids. she sat down and ate about 50 of them. i tried to tell her that she was going to have concrete in her stomach if she ate too many of them, so she put them down...then picked them up about 5 minutes later.

17. Keeping food at room temperature too long |
|
I know that some people are in the habit of thawing meat on the counter all day, but it really is unsafe. The same is true of picnic or potluck like type events where the food is out for several hours. What really freaked me out though was when my mother-in-law thawed steaks on the counter all day and then something happened that changed our dinner plans of grilling those steaks. As a result, my mother-in-law put the steaks back in the freezer after they were out for 8+ hours. I can only assume that they were rethawed under the same conditions.

That is one reason why women have a much higher incidence of foot problems. If it was anything other than fashion, wearing high heels would be considered a high risk factor and something that should be avoided, just like smoking or obesity.

I have to change the channel if a commercial or show decides to include these noises for food scenes, or kissing scenes. makes me shiver, blech!
and I cannot sit next to someone who is eating like that, I will leave the room.
