2. Was forced to vote "Oh Damn, I missed it" ...
but I will certainly catch the repeat tonight, assuming it comes on after the Daily Show repeat at 8 p.m. EST

7. I know that it was following the Daily Show repeat at 10 and 2
I know this because I missed it too and I am DVRing it (or did) at 2:30.

Couldn't at 10:30 -the Gilmore Girls you know.

11. Hope so, that's how it's scheduled in the East.
I don't know if it holds true everywhere though.

3. I was impressed by how far it went.
The flag diaper, and some of the other jokes were stuff that I thought would really piss people off. I laughed my ass off.

5. Great satire of the O'Reilly Factor
At least, that's how it seemed to me -- one big piss-take on FAUX News.

12. O'Reilly Factor, with a little bit of Oberman's "Countdown" thrown in,
is the way I saw it.

Plus, he said in several interviews that his character is heavily based on Stone Phillips, which made the interview segment especially fun!

6. Perhaps my sense of humor is not sophisticated enough.
I made three attempts to watch it through but found it so dry and meandering that I never completed it. Maybe the next one will grease my wheels, but this one sucked.

8. Is there a studio audience?
From what I have read I would assume not.

13. I'm not sure, it sounded like it, but I didn't see a crane shot...
...or an audience pan.

15. The main thing you have to remember is, he's playing a character.
He's not actually an Stupid, Arrogant Jerk reporter, but he IS mocking the other reporters and commentators who are.

Mostly those on that cable network that rhymes with "Box Snooze."

9. The opening segment kinda sucked
But I'm hoping he was just setting up the premise for the whole parody. The interview and gravitas-off with Stone Phillips absolutely rocked!

14. I didn't really like the 'sit down and talk with Stone Phillips' part
Not surprising since Colbert isn't really a talk show host. The rest of the show was fabulous!

17. That part was brilliant
Colbert has made a living mimicing and mocking Stone Phillips. It was a great irony to have them talking together. It was great to see Phillips take it all in good humor - he came across well. In comparison, O'Reilly is going to respond viciously to Colbert's satire - which is going to make Colbert funnier.
