Do you regularly practice terrorism drills? |
|
A booklet that was sent home w/ my daughter today from school. The focus seems to be primarily on terrorist attacks, instead of earthquakes(we have a small faultline in our county so it's a possibility. Besides, if the big one ever goes in New Madrid the whole state will be fucked), tornadoes( come on, it's Missouri. They are a regularly scheduled event around here!) and fire. I just love the way the government prepare kids for something that will almost never happen and neglects the inevitable

1. They taught kids how to 'defend' themselves in nuke attacks... |
|
An utter fallacy but what the heck...
I know not of any save-your-bacon-from-terra-attacks procedures. Hmmm... did life have more reverence in 1955? Or did the politicians of the time at least put on a more convincing show when claiming to say they gave a damn? (judging how people had more consideration back then and the corporate elite didn't find ways to further their benefit at the expense of everyone else, knowing people do better when they work together and treat them fairly...)

2. Nah, only Zombie drills |
|
All that other stuff is never going to happen but it's only a matter of time before zombies show up. And I'll be ready. :patriot:

I cannot make it past the first level no matter how many tries. And, the whole thing creeps me out. http://www.smashingames.com/games/landofthedead.html

6. I remember nuke drills in elementary school, |
|
looking back now it was quite silly, since the nuke drill and the tornado drill were the same fucking thing.
Sit in the hall, face the wall, head between the knees, kiss your own ass goodbye.....

8. Yes! I strap empty cardboard paper towel tubes to my body |
|
and spring out of closets unannounced. I scream at Miz t. "I'm a terrist...booga booga booga."
She faints dead away and then we have to start all over again.
