*sigh* Sadness ensues.
Ode to a dog? Hah. Well, goodbye Sheila. I know now that you will have place you deserve, you have pastures to play in and goats to gather. More than we could ever give, at least, soon. So, goodbye trusted friend, you will always be close.

4. It's just. . . she just deserved so much more than a little yard.
Now, she's got 85 acres to run around on. The new owners still will let us know about here and IF and only IF they decide to breed her, we may get one of her pups. She is a great dog.

Thank you all for your sympathy.

5. Is it possible that you can visit her?
Or is that inconvient? Would that be bad for the dog and her new family?
I am glad that your dog has more space. I am sorry that you could not keep her.

6. I feel worse for my step-daughter who had bonded to her, but
I believe they will allow for us to stop by and say hello. They're going to train her to herd. Which is what an Australian Cattle Dog does.

7. The sweet use of adversity.
Your gentle holding of your emotions yield you the fruit of unfolding insight. "Sweet are the uses of adversity, which, like the toad, ugly and venomous, wears yet a precious jewel in his head. " As You Like It, Wm. Shakespeare.
