OW! I broke my finger at work today and now I can't sleep! |
|
I thought the Percocet would knock my ass out, but I'm wired for sound. My finger hurts a bit but I really don't care.

4. Training class at work. We get pepper sprayed and then have |
|
to fight the offender (he has pads) for 60 seconds to learn you can overcome the effects of being sprayed.
I was the one with pads and the "good guy" fought a little too hard, knocked a pad free and grabbed and twisted my ring finger, effectively fracturing it. It was pointing in a direction it isn't supposed to be pointing. I go in to a specialist tomorrow to see if I need surgery.
I've been in this bidness for 26 years and my first lost work time is from class!

But my 2nd month at he new job, I got in a knock down drag out fight with a food thief who did not want to wait for police. i didn't even get scatched on that one! Once, I had some guy try to stab me with a screwdriver..did not even touch me..But a co worker breaks my finger!
OOps, spelling is getting bad, Narcotics must be kicking in!

10. At least you work in the right place for an injury... |
|
And at least you know your coworker is one tough dude - the next screwdriver swinging maniac gets a double-dose of whomping...
That must be a tough job to have; I'd imagine that nearly everyone you encounter is pretty stressed, leading to the likelihood of odd behavior.

11. Yea, you are right. But Kirkland does not get the clientele |
|
I dealt with in Yakima. A big gang and drug problem lead to many a fun night in the ER.
