A mouse isn't usually alone. I had an efficiency apartment once where mice began to live IN the electric stove. At night they had the run of the apt. I had a plain mattress on the floor as a bed and I awoke one night to find an ugly, grey mouse a foot from my head. I had multiple spring traps but they would not keep up with them. Even lighting the oven and turning it up high for an hour would not do it. Decon was the only thing that got rid of the pestilential little bastards.
