Wacko Jacko called for jury duty
Check it out right here.

California authorities want Michael Jackson back in court – this time as a juror.

Jackson received a jury summons at his Neverland Valley Ranch, four months after he was acquitted of child molestation charges.

“It’s just one of those ironies of life that he’d be called as a juror,” said Laurie Levenson, a professor at Loyola School of Law who monitored Jackson’s trial.

It’s unlikely that Jackson will show up for jury selection. His lawyers have filed paperwork for a deferment based on the fact that he now lives in Bahrain.

“He is permanently living outside of the United States,” said Thomas Mesereau, who defended Jackson against the child molestation charges.

Jury Commissioner Gary Blair said Jackson would likely be excused from serving.

“All he has to do is show he has legal residency somewhere else and he’ll be exempted,” Blair said.

I just think it's funny...

3. I think MJ is a freak, but I also think this is nothing more than
the California legal system harrassing a guy they couldn't nail.

4. Well in that case, did OJ ever get called for jury duty?
That would have been kind of cool...

6. Or perhaps its because
Los Angeles alone needs to call 10,000 prospective jurors A DAY just to keep the justice system moving.

I don't think they're harrassing him. In fact, I think the CA legal system would far rather never see him again. Think about it...who gets inconvenienced if he DOES show up? Oh...the CA court and legal system...

...jury duty? Imagine if he actually got on a jury. Wall to wall coverage of some soliciting for prostitution case on court TV? That would be a complete mockery of the system when you think of it.
