Who's worse than Adam Carolla? DANNY BONNADUCE!
I sat through that crap interview last night, and what little respect I had for him disappeared when he bragged about being a Repug and bombing Iraq. His glib "bomb 'em" line really ticked me off. No damn thought whatsoever, just we can get away with bombing them, so let's do it because they're not Americans anyway.

1. Have you watched the "Breaking Bonnaduce" show on VH1?
That guy belongs in one of two places.........Jail or a Mental Hospital. He takes steroids, drinks like a fish, has anger management issues....etc. He's unstable at best.

9. How 'bout when his wife said she wanted a divorce
So he slit his wrists right in front of her...that convinced her to stay.

She should have drove him to the hospital and dropped him off and moved out before he could get home!

He has to learn how to love himself before he can get anyone else to love him (I know that sounds stupid, but attempting to force someone to love you ain't gonna get you very far).

13. It'd be a tough call
But don't the kids have the right to some kind of normalcy?

Do you stay in a marriage because the other person threats to kill themselves if you leave - and raise your kids in that kind of atmosphere? Or do you get the hell out of there so the kids can see what a family based on love and respect for each other looks like?

30. Probably doesn't know what it's like to be normal
w/out chaos all around.

My ex kept me so out of whack w/reality that I didn't know what to do after he moved out. Sleeping a whole night w/out fighting, not wondering when he was going to get home or if he would accuse me of screwing around so he could pretend to get mad just so he could go get drunk w/his friend (and then cheat on me).

When I fould out there was a whole world of calm out there w/out him. Ahhhhhhh :)

Now I'm married to a man that I can challenge (if need be) without fear for my safety and can trust to be faithful and not make accusations w/out asking for information first.

Oh My God, I married a grown up! :bounce:

Who the F**K put him in charge of production? Like when his wife refused to answer her phone he made the cameraman call the other cameraman and hand his phone to her. SHE TOOK THE PHONE AND AFTER THE CALL SHUT IT OFF!! Great move! It's like he found one more way to keep tabs on her while he's out getting drunk and catting around!

decided that he would go into rehab. He got a tattoo of the first date of his sobriety even though he didn't know when it would be. He guessed he'd go into rehab drunk as a skunk, so it would be the next day. :wtf: And that is what he got tattooed. Which it was May ? 2005.
I don't remember the date.

What the heck, might as well get drunk since I'm not going to drink anymore cuz I have my sobriety date tattooed on my arm...Like he won't go have a drink to celebrate his sobriety when he gets out. (then what, change the date on the tattoo?)

Recovery isn't a one trip deal, it's a life-time commitment that includes becoming honest about WHO you are and WHAT you are feeling. AND it's a personal journey. Not one that's done for publicity and approval of others.

Man. He needs to be kicked to the curb, the sooner the better. Once he's REALLY crashed he can start to rebuild his life. There are no half-steps to recovery.

I used to listen to his morning radio show when I lived in LA--for a brief time, he agreed to take lithium, and was a much different (and better) person. IIRC, he stopped taking it because he hated the way it made him feel. Too bad for his family. :-(

38. I'm no psychiatrist, but if I had to guess...
I'd say that my ex is bipolar also. He has the classic manic highs where he is king of the world and depressive lows (during which he is often suicidal). He seemed to be self-medicating with lots and lots of alcohol, and was feeding my daughter the same bullshit about his future riches and grandiose plans that he had been feeding me twenty years earlier.

He completed a rehab program earlier this year (his sixth since I met him in 1985, and there had been at least two before then) and is currently in a dry cycle. I don't hold out much hope that he can stay sober on his own or even with the help of AA.

63. Well, you do have to wear clothes (unless your last name is Hatch)
and You do have to sleep with the one you came with (unless you're on temptation island) and you can't get stinking drunk (unless you're on real world) and no fighting (unless you're on breaking bonnaduce) and ....Well, you'd have to do alot to get kicked off TV nowadays!

68. You can only drink if you use steroids as well and go into rages
and jump into strangers cars and threaten to sue the producer of your show. This will be in your contract. (Oh, and you have to beg your wife to have sex with you and BE SHOT DOWN ON NATIONAL TELEVISION because she has to go pick up the dogs)!

80. I did not know he was a repuke...
Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 05:14 PM by bliss_eternal
I do know, that his marriage was not a stunt for the radio show. He didn't have a show back then.

He was drunk--went on a blind date, he married her to have sex with her (she's Christian, refused to have sex w/out marriage:eyes:). So he called a officiant from the phonebook and married her.

When they woke up the next day, he didn't even remember them getting married.

I have a problem with the fact that they essentially married on a dare basis, and have basically hung onto a relationship, based on a drunken bad date and the desire to have sex.

:wtf:

Seriously, can you REALLY maintain a relationship on that? Why would anyone want to?

I feel sorry for her--but at the same time, she stays with him and says it's because she loves him. Does she love him or being Mrs. Bonaduce and some of the perks that go along with that? (Nice house, posh salons, etc., etc.) Not sure, but it's worth considering...

I only ask because she said early in the show, "if he were drinking, I would bail." He started drinking and she was still there.

I'm not blaming her. Just saying at this point--they are both sick.

81. His one claim to fame was "The Partridge Family"
And he was one of the no-talent ones. What does that tell you?

Hell, at least Susan Dey had that gig on "LA Law" after she left the show.

Danny Bonaduce is one of those "I have no discernable talent, but I should be famous anyway" kind of "celebrities"

82. At least he illicits *some* reaction. Adam Corolla is like watching paint
dry.

Just sitting talking to Danny might piss me off, but Adam is like the creepy guy who tries to pick you up in a bar with lame jokes and has nothing else to say. Lame joke... he laughs....silence. Repeat.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

83. That's funny! LOL!
To be honest, I haven't watched Corolla's show--so I don't know much about him or what the show's like. I know that I found his presence annoying during the run of his 'The Man Show.' Didn't watch that--but he was on EVERYTHING promoting the show at that time, and I found him pretty dry and annoying on other's shows.

Didn't even bother with his show after those brief encounters.

Is he supposed to be a comedian?

85. That sums up his whole attitude..
He is absolutely merciless with his wife.

Again, she's not entirely innocent (should follow through on taking the kids and leaving when he acts out), but the way they've shown him to behave behind her back--whoa...
