I love the AL, but you know what I think is almost as stupid as the designated hitter and interleague play and six divisions and wild cards? It's that the league that wins the All-Star Game gets home field advantage during the WS. That is so bogus.

The mayor has asked people not to wear socks Friday, Saturday and Sunday as a show of support. Easy to do on the weekend around the house, not so easy to do if your employer isn't on the bandwagon. Since I'm still not working, it doesn't matter to me, I'm barefoot most of the time anyway unless I'm leaving the house.
