I wanted to bring something to you attention over in the GD: Politics board. Some of you may know that Ed Schultz's show was supposed to start airing on Armed Forces Radio (the first hour of his show each day) this past Monday. Everything was in place, but at 7:00 on Monday morning, Ed's producer got a call from the Pentagon saying, "Never mind." They are giving some lame excuse that, well, it wasn't REALLY a finalized deal, and the person who could finalize it was out of town.
What's really going on is that Ed criticized the woman who coached the troops in Bush's "spontaneous" video conference last week. This woman didn't like it, and thus, got Ed cancelled on AFR before he even had his first show broadcast.
Wes Clark has a petition you can sign that will go to your Senators and Representative. I know some senators are also calling for the Pentagon to put Ed on the show separate from this, but I wanted to bring your attention to it, in case you would like to sign the petition.
I know not everyone likes Ed, but I think he would be perfect for the introduction of radio that is NOT Rush Limbaugh on AFR.
So, here's the link to the thread over on GD: Politics.
