I took my kid to see The Curse of the Were-rabbit
yesterday afternoon.

What a clever movie! I loved Chicken Run, but hadn't seen any of the Wallace and Gromits before. I'm going to have to watch them all now.

I especially liked the obscure references to bunny movies...the Art Garfunkel song from "Watership Down", "Harvey's" pub, and so on...
there were a lot I missed.

Who else has seen it?

2. I took my Dad
Our first fun outing since my Mom's death. He enjoyed it. Me, too. We debated whether Gromit is a beagle. I'm sure he is, but my dad says he's WAAAAY too smart!

6. Welcome to DU!
He looks pretty Snoopy-like. Maybe a Beagle-Basset mix?

I'm so sorry about your Mom. It's tough to have fun after losing someone you love. I'm glad you and your Dad enjoyed the movie.

5. There was a fire at the warehouse where the models were stored.
"BRISTOL, England -- The company behind the new "Wallace and Gromit" film said Monday its "entire history" has been destroyed in a fire at a warehouse containing props and sets.

The roof and three interior walls of the Aardman Animations building in Bristol, west England collapsed after the blaze tore through the Victorian building, fire officials said."

3. i loved it!! All of it, my daughter and i had such a good time seeing it
i love the Dogfight between the dogs, the church scene when the vicar proclaims they've brought it on themselves for screwing around with nature. Lady tottinghams melons was hilarious.

8. It was wonderful the way they hinted at adult humor
without being blatant enough to let the kiddies in on it. I howled at the box Wallace used to cover up at the end..."Warning: May Contain Nuts" or somesuch.

9. yes, that was hilarious!! One of my friends is from Canada and he sent
my daughter a DVD of Wallace and Grommit, it had 2 or 3 shorts on it, she loved and watched over and over again so when we found out a movie was coming out she was beyond excited.
