Halloween Costume Advice Needed!

So I'm probably going to be going with a Halloween costume that involves red hair (but natural-looking red hair). I'm therefore looking for a brand of hair dye that will last less than a week and will make my light brown hair a nice deep shade of red. I've never used "real" hair dye before, so I was wondering...how long does it take to put the stuff in? If a product says "washes out in 6 shampoos" does that mean I can just wash my hair six times in a row and it'll be gone? Are there any brands that are particularly foolproof? I'm clumsy!

PPS: And if you have to ask, my friends and I are dressing up as anorexic starlets, and I'm Lindsay Lohan. Ideas for a costume are welcome, too.

1. Try Henna

Go to Sally's or someplace like it that sells beauty products. DON'T use a dye from a box, even if it says will wash out in a few shampoos...it alters your hair using chemicals.

A dab of baby powder on your nose, to simulate...nose candy.
