Poll question: Have You Signed Up On The National ''Do-Not-Call'' Registry?
https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

If so... have you noticed a before-and-after difference? I'm registered... and I certainly have noticed a big improvement. It's absolutely wonderful!

When the almost constant ringing stopped, I'd sometimes pick up the phone to check for a dial-tone just to make sure it was still working. It was very strange at first NOT to be disturbed at all hours (particularly during dinner time).

I still get the occasional solicitation call from charities and political groups... but I feel like my phone is MINE again. An instrument for MY convenience, not theirs.

If you haven't registered... it's EASY. https://www.donotcall.gov/register/Reg.aspx

3. I've done this before
I guess when they had it last, I still continued to get sales calls.

4. Yes, and I have noticed a difference.
I still get calls from people with whom I have or had accounts or otherwise did business with, which is allowed under the Do Not Call laws (though they still have to stop if you instruct them to).

5. No - my only phone is my cellphone and I have never had
a telemarketer call that number.

6. Yes. Almost completely eliminates unwanted calls.
Except around election time, since political calls are exempt.
