Like an idiot, I went into the cafe at work for lunch, and like an idiot, I ignore the fact that * was on the idiot box, spouting off at the Reagan Library instead of working. I came back from lunch early because even through my super-ignore cone-of-silence, and even through the force-field of the book I'm reading, I heard him say "these extremists have exploited the religion of Islam -- "

Well, be that as it may, to hear it from him is worse than any eardrum-splitting cacophony, worse than a thousand screaming children in a grocery store, worse than crotch rockets in front of the house at midnight, worse than ghetto blasters on spinning hubcaps early in the morning -- worse than ANY of these sounds that can make me angry in an instant.

I slammed my book, bused my table, and came back early.
