We've been invited to a Halloween party tonight... |
|
And though we've known about it for weeks, I was still last-minute shopping for costumes yesterday.
For myself, I settled on an "80s rock star" costume from Target, to be worn with a hot pink wig. I even went out and bought blue eyeliner and glitter lipgloss. :D

3. Last Halloween party we went to, |
|
We went as Sonny and Cher. For Sonny's vest, I found a chenile beach coverup, took off the sleves, and that's what my husband wore for the vest. We had a blast. Have fun!!!!

6. Thanks! I'll bet you looked great! |

Sometime, we'd like to be Elvis and Priscilla Presley, circa 1970. I'm thinking ruffled white shirt and dark blue velvet blazer for Elvis, maybe sunglasses and a chunky gold pinky ring. Priscilla, of course, would have a poufy hairdo and lots of black eyeliner.
That would take some doing to put together, though, and the only Elvis costumes you ever see are the sequinned jumpsuit dealies.

I saw a girl at the high school the other day, looking like she had just stepped off the set of St. Elmo's Fire. I'm pretty sure she was dressed in her regular clothes though and not a costume.

8. I've seen some of the clothes come back. |
|
Last year, I was dropping my oldest off at school (she was a HS senior), and I saw a boy come out of the building wearing a white polo shirt with the collar up, straight-legged jeans, and topsiders.

12. There's been a change of costume plans. |
|
I tried on the costume from Target and it just didn't work.
Because my husband is going to be a spiky, blonde-haired version of Eric Carr, I've decided to go as a hot-pants-and-boots-wearing KISS groupie. I'll still wear the hot pink wig.
