Why is everyone drinking?
Don't you know alcohol is evil? And no, the wine Jesus drank didn't have alcohol. How do I know that? Because alcohol is evil, that's why. And this is not circular reasoning so stop saying that!

4. I feel it's my sacred duty
I'm on a mission to rid the world of that evil alcohol and the only logical solution I could come up with was to drink as much of it as possible.

You should be thanking me. O8)

5. Something to do while waiting (obsessing?) over... INDICTMENTS!

And because it's too cold here to go out...
Oh, the pain of bundling up with layers of sweaters and coats and scarves, and getting in the car and it's cold and the steering wheel hurts the hands and by the time we arrive at our destination we're just about warmed up and then we have to get out of the car and get COLD again and then go into some entertainment/food establishment and get all unbundled and do the entire reverse dance to get back home, where it will be COLD again because we can't afford to leave the heat on while we are away since the cost of heating the house will be maybe slightly less than the national debt this winter.

Soooooo... drinking sounds good. Drinking at home is cost efficient AND we dont' have to argue or flip a coin about who's gonna be the designated driver.

Um, that's Apple Martinis to you.

6. Because it's there.
And it's good.

And I'm sure the wine Jesus drank DID have alcohol. How do I know that? Because ... when he changed the water to wine, it was extra good stuff. The ruler of the feast, after tasting it, thought the bridegroom had goofed and put the wrong wine out. Usually, the best wine is served first and the not-so-good stuff is served after people have been drinking for a while, but this good stuff was put out at the end. Makes sense to me that it had alcohol in it.

Besides that, the lack of refrigeration in those days required it to be fermented in order to be preserved.

That's my argument and I'm sticking to it ... and drinking my wine. And my wine is not evil. :9

:hi:
