I found a dozen puffballs in my woodlot, anyone know a recipe? |
|
I've seen them in small numbers before, and left them be until they were mature and I could break them up and spread the spores.
It looks like it worked, or maybe they just prospered on their own. If you have a favorite puffball recipe I'd like to hear it.

4. Yeah, you can. Puffballs (real puffbals don't have stems) aren't poisonou |
|
This afternoon they were about the size of 12 inch softballs. When I saw them my first thought was how did kids toys get way back in this place?
You gotta eat them while their flesh is white and before they get greenish brown and sporeful

Take i clove of garlice and a quarter of a white onion. Then saute them in a pan with butter - SLOWLY. After a couple minutes add in some chopped mushrooms... simmer for a couple minutes..then add heavy cream,...let it reduce until it's a nice cream sauce...put it on steak...mmmmmmmmm

I was wondering what to mail Stumpy and Pickles for Christmas. Zip lock bag inside a padded envelope aught to do it. Three days in snail mail should ripen it beautifully. Warm 3 day old fish, the gift that says it all.

Get a styrofoam mailing box for biological work, and fill it halfway with water, and fill the rest of the bag with pure oxygen. Fish should be good to ship overnight that way.
