Vegas-0......SoCalDem $1935.00
WooHOOOOOOOOO

$955.00 from a "Sea Monkeys" penny machine

$780.00 from a silly fishing game with Eagles & bears & coyotes (penny machine)

$220.00 from a penny "Bonus something or other" game

I brought $500 with me and for the first time in a long time, I came home a HAPPY Gambler:)

and I don't have to go back until NEXT JUNE :)

My husband has a convention to go to and dragged me along. While he did official stuff, I wandered around looking for "lucky" machines:) And this trip I found several :)

1. Great for you!
If you didn't live in California, that would be just enough to pay your heating bill.

Anything special planned for your winnings?

2. Not really..
We have "elderly vehicles", so I'm sure one of them will get wind of the wins, and suddenly start whining about a new air conditioner or new tires or something :)

3. Awesome!
About time you reported some big winnings. Even if it did require breaking a pledge to stop playing the penny machines. Looks like they've turned in your favor!

I haven't been playing many machines lately. The bonus machines have been all but yanked. Last nice hit I had was $1000 on a dollar Kool Kat at Caesar's in June -- orange 7, double, double.

Sports speculation has been profitable so far this fall :)

4. Woo hoo! You beat me!
This past Saturday, I hit $1250 on a quarter Wild Cherry machine -- biggest pot I've ever won!

5. That sounds like all 3 cherries smack on the line
Wow, very rare. I've only seen it a few times. It looks neat when it's all lined up like that. I've never gotten that, and only had the three cherries in any position a few times. Congratulations!

6. That's what it was, and on my birthday to boot!
The funniest part was, I thought I had won $250 (I'm bad at math and it was very late). So when the attendant started counting out my money, I about fell over!!

8. Isn't it amazing and appropriate when it works out that way?

I hit a royal flush on my birthday in '92 at Circus Circus for $1000

7. Cool!
My own score is Vegas -- 50 cents. Eyesroll -- zero. McCarran Airport -- 1,000,409. (I'm there now, and my flight is, of course, late.)

9. Stay away from those machines at McCarran
Edited on Fri Oct-21-05 10:41 PM by Awsi Dooger
The payoff percentage is set at the minimum. Just look around, nothing else to make money off of: no table games or sportsbook, no casino-owned restaurants or stores or fancy showroom. Plus they have to pay the attendant's salary. Those machines are a ripoff.

12. I look for the gimmicky ones with a couple of bonus features
Edited on Sat Oct-22-05 02:09 PM by SoCalDem
Play Max bet on the first play.. If It hits big, I move on to the next one.. If it hits a little, I play 20 lines at 10 ($2.00) bet for a few spins, and then hit max again..If it doesn;t pay off in a few times, I move on..

I will try to play until I get a bonus and thats where you can really make $$$,..

Really late at night 3-5 am, I'll just play one time on several rows of machines....

Sometimes it works..sometimes not :)

also look for the ones that you can stop..I usually get into a rythym, and if your reflexes are good, you can win several times in a row..:)

13. Stop now!! While you're ahead.

My wife does the same thing. She gets way ahead, but then she won't stop and ends up losing everything she won.

Stop now.

15. I only go when my bowling groups have torunaments there
and I always go with a predetermined amount I am prepared to lose..I usually end up playing on "their money"..

I have hit some big jackpots, so I guess I am a bit ahead or even overall..

I have never been to an Indian casino, even though I am surrounded by them.. I'm satisfied with my once a year adventure:)
