I was looking through the Fleet & Farm toy catalog today, picking out what I call the "Next Year's Garage Sale" toys.
The toys that the kids are bored with so they are being sold in garage sales.
Most often they are board games based on some popular movie or TV show, or music star.
Lots of old favorites though, Monopoly, (many different versions,) Life, toy cars, toy farm stuff, etc.
Especially for you DU parents, you have problems like that, "I want (fill in the blank toy)," and soon the kids are bored with it?
Big sellers this year are the "Plug and Play" electronic video games, Star Wars, Atari, Intellvision, Batman, etc.

1. I'm sure we will, but not so far. |

My 5-year-old still plays with the Barbies and the Care Bear she HAD to have last year, and my 3-year-old still plays with his RC truck and PT Cruiser.

My grand-nieces have lots of fun playing with the Fisher-Price house, farm, and airport my parents bought for my sisters, 35 years ago. It's a testament to the quality workmanship the toys can still take the punishment put out by the little girls.
