Need prayers and good wishes for my Dad.

My father was laid low by a coronary, deep-vein thrombosis, and a pulmonary thrombosis. It all piled in a corner and waited for him. He went in for surgery (a triple bypass) and had ANOTHER heart attack on the operating table. They ended up doing a quadruple bypass. He is still in intensive care, and the best cardiologists in Washington State say his prognosis is good (my dad is a tough old you-know-what), but I'd still like to have every DU-er who cares offering prayers and good wishes for his recovery.

My dad is one of the many reasons I'm a liberal. He's always been a left-leaning moderate, even as a career Army officer. He is suspicious of authority, and if he thinks you don't merit whatever power you wield, he'll tell you so in no uncertain terms. That may explain why he was passed over twice for Lieutenant Colonel, and retired as a Major.
He voted in 2000 for Colin Powell on a write-in vote, and for John Kerry in 2004. His favorite expression is "Never let the bastards get you down". While not a far-left bleeding-heart like me, he is a good man to have on our side.

My mom has several health problems and now and then ends up in the hospital. It's the same hopsital where she worked for 35 years, and both my sisters work there, so, not that they don't take good care of all the patients, but they also have a personal incentive for taking good care of her.

Again, please keep us updated on how he is progressing in his recovery!
