I got my LSAT score tonight. |
|
I got a 168, 97th percentile. :)
I checked the score report, though, and they only credited 100 questions, as opposed to 101. Very, very weird.
Anyway, I'm glad it's over.

24. I'm applying to U of Illinois C-U and a bunch of California schools... |
|
All the UC law schools, USC, University of San Diego, UOP, was thinking if I got a crazy good score I'd try Stanford, but I didn't, and you need to know people anyway, really.
I'm basically going for geographical diversity, because the hope is that my fiancee will find an excellent job somewhere in CA and we'll be able to match up a school with a job.

I remember it was a huge nightmare for me, so I understand the relief. With a score like that I won't bother saying good luck with admissions, and skip straight to good luck with 1Hell.

Great job :) As someone still studying for his LSAT's (a never-ending process it may seem), what was your study secret? Did you major in pre-law?

27. Can't answer for BGL, of course, but my secret was... |
|
...waiting until I was 30.
Seriously, though -- I did a bunch of practice tests under horrible conditions (on a train, in an overheated room, on a bed while my BF's toddler tantrumed in the next room). I didn't take a practice course, and I was not pre-law (I was an English/education major, and graduated in '97, so even if I was pre-law, I wouldn't remember much).
Basically, for me, it was vital to get comfortable with how the test worked. You don't really need to know a lot of facts to do well on the LSAT, but knowing what to expect is a big help.
Good luck to you (and to other posters downthread who've asked similar questions)!

But, I just practiced a lot. And there's a trick to each section that should help. For reading comprehension, take the time to read the whole piece, very carefully, before answering the questions. For the logical reasoning, for every question, read the question before the prompt. And, for the logic games, flip through the section real quick and find the easiest ones (ordering) to do first, and try to address them in an ascending order of difficulty.
Other than that, it's just practice and a bit of luck.

30. It was weird. There were two Reading Comprehension sections, |
|
one with 27 questions and one with 26, one experimental and one credited. The one with the 27 questions would have made the whole test 101 questions, so I figured the 26 question one was experimental. But they did the exact opposite, and the test ended up being only 100 questions.

Congrats to you!

36. You're always in the chair, never lost. |
|
What you're experiencing is a reaction to adventuring into unknown territory. I've been working with and teaching about heart centered energy meditations since the late '60s and have never had a bad experience from it. I may not have listened but I never went wrong following the energy.
What happens when you lose yourself? I'm not clear on what you mean by that.
