Both good movies. But I usually pick serious movies and Platoon is an excellent movie...

19. What kind of soup?
I make a mean potato- leek soup. I crack that recipe out after the first frost. Warms the bones on a cold winter night.

We made a beef stew today... beef, barley, onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, some boullion, and YUM!

36. oooohhhhh
Stew.......sounds awesome.

Actually, I got my potato-leek recipe from "The New Best Recipe" from the editors of Cook's Illustrated. It is a very guy cookbook because they claim to try many variations on the same recipe and pick the platonic ideal recipe.

I'll be glad to give it to you but I really recommend the cookbook. I think it is a must for anyone learning to cook or looking to learn new things.

17. This is eerie...
Clemens's mother predicted that the Astros and Soxs would be playing each other on her death bed. This is something I heard during the game (Cards/Stros on faux sports) from Roger no less but, can only find in part on the web.

Here's the deal. On the day Bess died back in September.

Roger
"This is momma, she was thinking baseball. She came to and asked if we were in the playoffs yet," Clemens said. "Out of nowhere came, she mentioned Shoeless Joe Jackson. It was unbelievable. ... I asked her if she was in the fields, and she said, 'I think I am.' She just loves the game."

Clemens was with his mother, Bess, early Wednesday when she died. Later that night, he was on the mound making his scheduled start for the Houston Astros, just as his mother expected him to do.
http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/dssports/pro/16...

She also gave the score of the game that Roger was to play that night 2/10 Astros.

Damn Chinese internet feed for Skate America keeps pooping out though. Thank goodness for fellow skating geeks who post results and such on message boards! :D

I am sooo not a baseball person, nor am I big on most sports in general. I still follow football some just so I know what the hell my father is talking about come August through January. :eyes:
