14. My family tells me that all the time.

My mother hadn't seen me in 6 months and when I finally did go to her house, the first thing she did was tell me to come to her bathroom. She said the moles on my neck were atrocious looking and that this latest miracle cure she had would clear them up in three applications. Well, the moles are still there. SHe didn't even say hello first, just come here, use this, you are ugly. My stepfather says I am a total failure and a loser and worthless all the time. I used to take it under the lie that your family knows what is best for you, but I realized that they are bringing me down and causing my low self esteem issues.

I just hate them for these things now. I have finally realized part of what has been holding me back my whole life. Theyir constant negativity toward me no matter how much I accomplish in life.

Fuck people who tear you down and claim to be your friends. If they are really your friends, they'll never say something like that to you. They'll be honest with you, but they won't tear you down like that.
