Poll question: Which NFL Head Coach is going to be fired first? |
|
Three bad coaches named Mike. Coincidence, I think not!

3. Ha, how about Houston Texans? |
|
Ouch, I always cheer for them because I'd like them to win at least a few games. It was interesting that although the only winless team in the NFL, they were tied with the only undefeated team in the NFL at halftime today...

4. Since they are a recent expansion team the coach gets a pass! |
|
For at least this season.

They have one of the better RBs in the league, and they always seem to play decent games, but just can't quite "make it" to win the game. I always feel so sorry for them...but out of your choices above, I'd have to go with the Vikings coach :)

10. That would be Dom Capers. |
|
Damn good coach, but has little to work with. Ownership is a bit stingy with the $.

His conservative "Marty Ball" style is not winning championships. He plays it too safe at times and ends up looking like a fool.

7. By all rights San Diego should have won that game. |
|
I was stunned by that game.

9. If they would have gone for it on 4th down and turn the ball over on downs |
|
they would have won that game. The special teams screwed up,the FG was blocked and recovered for a TD by Philly. BUT...then they got the ball back and were moving downfield when the receiver couldnt hold onto the damn ball... Damn that was painful to watch as a Charger fan!

12. That, and on 3rd and 3 or so, running it up the gut |
|
They could have done a quick pass, or run to the outside a little more. Philly had everyone in the box, the run hadn't been successful, so on a crucial 3rd down, why run where everybody is?
He ticked me off when he was coaching Washington doing that kind of stuff. Never going for it on 4th down. Never faking a punt on the opponent's 45 on 4th and one. Sometimes, you just need to do that kind of stuff.
Shot is a good coach, but playing not to lose doesn't always equate playing to win.

When he says he doesn't know what to do anymore, hey, I think he forgets that his title is "Coach". Packers are going to get slaughtered next Sunday. Geez, if we can't even beat the Vikings, now how sad is that.
